Choosing a custom mix in place of a ready-made flavor? Pick one recipe below, prepare your ingredients at home, and pour into the machine on the day of your event. You are responsible for sourcing all ingredients for custom mixes.

🍺 Adding Alcohol to Your Custom Mix — Read Before You Pour

You can add alcohol to any custom mix recipe, but it must be done carefully to protect your guests and the machine. Please read all of the following before adding any alcohol.

  1. Pre-mix alcohol with all other ingredients first — never pour spirits directly into the tank. Per the machine manual, volatile or flammable liquids must not be poured into the tank. High-proof spirits are flammable. Always combine alcohol with your juices, syrups, or other mixers in a separate pitcher first, then pour the fully blended mixture into the machine.
  2. Keep alcohol content low. We recommend alcohol makes up no more than 10–15% of the total mixture. Higher alcohol content lowers the liquid's freezing point and may prevent the machine from forming proper slush.
  3. Maintain at least 13% sugar content. The machine requires a minimum 13% sugar content to produce slush and prevent machine damage. Alcohol dilutes sugar — taste your mix and add simple syrup if needed to keep sweetness up.
  4. Pour at room temperature or colder. The machine manual specifies liquids must not exceed 75°F / 24°C when poured into the tank. Never add warm or hot liquids.
  5. Pour only when the machine is OFF. Add your mixture to the tank before turning the machine on. Never pour into an operating machine.
  6. Expect a slightly softer slush. Alcohol naturally lowers the freezing point of liquid, so alcoholic mixes may produce a softer, more slushy consistency. This is normal.
⚠️ Machine manual safety rule: Do NOT pour volatile or flammable liquids (including undiluted high-proof spirits) into the tank. Always pre-mix alcohol with all other ingredients in a pitcher before pouring into the machine.
